Featuring local, seasonal produce plus Certified Angus Beef and seafood from the Gulf, this upscale casual dining restaurant brings farm-fresh ingredients to the tempting offerings on its all-new breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
1600 Bar + Grille, located lobby-level just off the main rotunda of the Hilton Americas-Houston, offers a vibrant new atmosphere with menus that emphasize fresh, natural produce locally-sourced to guarantee a just-picked flavor. Sourcing products locally allows the restaurant’s experienced chefs to create dishes with a farm-to-fork freshness that isn’t possible at many restaurants. “Our food is prepared from scratch with emphasis on local ingredients with a Texas flair, to offer our guests an unparalleled freshness and variety of flavors,” said Ruffy Sulaiman, executive chef, Hilton Americas-Houston.
“Through local sourcing, we can offer our guests the highest quality steaks and chops. Steaks are aged 21 days then cooked in our 1600-degree infrared broilers to ensure the natural beef juices are sealed under a thin charred crust,” stated Sulaiman. “We then serve the steaks and chops a la carte, with a trio of chimichurri, roasted garlic and herbed butter to perfectly bring out the flavor of the meats.”
Local sources for most products used at 1600 Bar + Grille include Dilorio Farms, Bluebonnet Farms, Atkinson Farms, Froberg’s Farms and Gundermann Farms.
